L'alliance de la brebis

Ce livre m'a chavirée,bouleversée, impressionnée. Après la lecture de cette biographie écrite par une rescapée d'une des sectes les plus violentes au Québec (La secte de Moïse), on ne sent plus tout à fait la même. On ne sent plus que sa vie est si pénible. Malgré la lecture difficile,à cause des atrocités que les victimes ont subi, je tenais à lire cette histoire vraie. Au cinéma, le film est sorti sous le titre ''L'affaire Roch Thériault'' qui malgré un jeu excellent et un script près de la réalité ne couvre qu'une partie des faits exposés dans le livre.
Mon plus grand plaisir a été de discuter au téléphone cette semaine avec l'auteure du livre. Je dois vous avouer que ça été une expérience extraordinaire, et il me semblait parler à une amie de longue date plutôt qu'une inconnue. L'auteure, Gabrielle Lavallée publiera certainement une suite à son livre prochainement je l'espère pour nous donner comment elle vit sa vie après to

This book ''L'alliance de la brebis'' not published as yet in English, as apparently some publishers thought it was too violent... If it is fiction in Hollywood,it's okay but when it is real, it is too violent? Go figure!
Well, this book really left me different. Every time I think that my life has been difficult,horrible, I will try to remember what the author of the book has been through. The story takes place a few years back in one of the most monstruous cults that have ever been, and where? in the province of Quebec, of all places.
I had the opportunity to have a telephone conversation with the author this week and it was like talking to an old friend.
I hope that the author will have the opportunity to find a publisher in English and I am also awaiting a second book who will tell us about how she redeemed herself and how she rebuilt her life after the years of horror.
There was a movie following the book called Savage Messiah,although it does not replicate the exact facts and situations, the actors were fantastic and the script well written.
