Ce n'est pas seulement pour le titre que j'écris ce texte, c'est en fait en anglais le nom d'un commerce qui regorge de belles choses à des prix incroyables. Nous y allons de temps à autre et bien que je n'achète pas à chaque fois; ce n'est certes pas l'envie qui manque.
Nous avons fait de très bons achats le week-end dernier: deux lampes, dont une Tiffany peinte à la main, une bague très intéressante avec ma pierre de naissance.
J'ai été tentée par des assiettes de Norman Rockwell, mais je me suis retenue.
Il y a de tout, allant du piano au buffet, à la coutellerie, aux lampes de chevet, aux vieux cadres,peintures,livres,bijoux,etc...
Contrairement,à plusieurs commerces dans le genre, il y a de belles trouvailles en bon état et à des prix qui font rêver. Il y a aussi possibilité de faire livrer si vous ne possédez pas de véhicule.

I am not just writing a title to write a title, it is actually the name for a consignment shop on Bayview in Toronto. We are going there from time to time to browse or with intention of buying. It is a different sight every time you set foot in the place. It is kind of consignment shop for all kinds of objects, from the valuable to the bizarre fashion and style.
Last week-end we were looking for a couple of lamps, we ended up spending almost two hours there, and my husband is not the type to browse, but he complied very nicely.
I also saw some Norman Rockwell plates that were at a very good price with the stamp at the back.
I ended up with one Tiffany lamp hand-painted and another brass lamp that is not bad. I have also found a ring that is very beautiful for a very, very reasonable price considering the value.
I was tempted by a million of other things but we cannot buy it all, can we?
If you find something you really like, buy it on the spot though,because next time it might be gone!
It is also interesting part of town to walk and shop around.

Je viens de faire une nouvelle acquisition et c'est l'image que je publie. C'est une gravure ancienne de 1774 de Freudenberg reproduite par un des frères Ingouf. Ça s'intitule: La soirée d'hyver.
I just purchased a new item at the Elegant Garage Sale and it is called: La soirée d'hyver. Is is a drawing by Freudenberg from 1774 that one of the brothers Ingouf reproduced from the original stamp.
